Well Being

Wellbeing is an integral part of what we do at The Bridge and helps us to support our students to be happy and ready to learn to the best of their ability.

Here at The Bridge we have a trained ELSA (emotional literacy support assistant) who aims to help young people, whenever necessary, with:

  • Understanding their emotions
  • Providing tools for dealing with emotions
  • Maintaining friendships and other social skills
  • Bereavement

We also have 'Wellbeing Hubs' where our Learning Mentors are on hand with a number of strategies and help texts in order to support our students. Our Pastoral leader is also trained in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), allowing us to broaden our services and further assist with issues around sleep and other stresses.

Our 'Wellbeing Hub' logo (as seen in the picture) was designed and created by students during an art class.
